We have been busy organising a one-day Future Work Conference, based on the book, scheduled for April 24th in Birmingham. Alison and I will be speaking, along with speakers from Microsoft, Vodafone and Word Association, all covered in the book. There will also be speakers from Sandwell Borough Council and Wolverhampton Homes. More information will appear on this site in the next week.
In the run up to the conference I will be running two one-hour webinars. The first one will be held at 11.00 on Friday February 24th and will look at the forces that are changing the world of work and the way organisations have to change to meet the needs of the 21st Century. It will help to explain why organisations are struggling to change their working patterns despite overwhelming evidence that there are business benefits from introducing more flexible working.
The second webinar, on March 22nd at 3.00pm will contain more practical advice for leaders and managers wishing to introduce future work practices. It will build on the organisational culture model from the book and set out the key principles for successful implementation of flexible working schemes.
The webinars are free, but places are limited so have to be booked in advance. If you would like to join in, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
