UK Government Promotes Home Working

Today I gave a presentation about the book at the CIPD conference in Manchester which received a positive response. I shared the session with David Robinson of Hertfordshire County Council, which is one of the organisations featured in the book.

I was therfore fascinated to see in today's paper that the Eric Pickles, the Local Government Secretary, is backing a report which recommends that state employees should work from home to save the taxpayer billions of pounds. It seems that the message that Future Work is good for business is finally getting through!
